(with COVID-19 considerations)
MotherBirth provides placenta preparation services from Lafayette to Lake Charles in Louisiana. Placenta encapsulation is the process of preparing the mother's placenta by dehydrating, powdering and encapsulating it for the mother to ingest. The purpose of ingestion is to reintroduce hormones, protein, minerals such as iron and amino acids and other key nutrients to the mother’s body following labor and birth.
• restores physical and emotional balance
• prevents or lessens the "baby blues" and postpartum depression
• increases breast-milk production
• quickens healing & bleeding time

During COVID-19 pandemic considerations the encapsulation process is done ONLY in our dedicated placenta labs using either Traditional/Steam or Raw Prep method.
