Brittany is a birth doula, certifying through DONA. Her first birth was an induction turned c-section and her second was an unmedicated VBAC. Her fight for her VBAC is what ignited her passion for birth work and believes every woman has the right to make informed decisions about her own birth. She lives in New Iberia with her husband and two children. She also runs a VBAC support group at Iberia Medical.
Hollis is a DONA-trained birth doula since 2014. She’s passionate about birth & empowering women to believe in their strength & ability. She believes birth is a mind, body, soul experience, and desires to help her clients connect to all parts of themselves in birthing, postpartum, and beyond. She believes birth should be an empowering experience for every woman in any setting. She dreams of assisting women in birth as a midwife, and sees her doula practice as a step & asset in her career.
Kaicelyn is an IDI-certified CLC and birth & postpartum doula. She has worked as a full-time nanny to infants since 2016 and has experience with twin & triplet pregnancies and infant/postpartum care. Caring for moms and babies during the infant stage has inspired her to be committed to ensuring that a mother and baby’s journey begins in a way that fits her and her family best. She has served Austin, TX and is now serving the Acadiana area.
Maddie is a DONA International trained birth doula and a Certified Lactation Counselor and Child Passenger Safety Technician. Through her case management experience working with local mamas, she saw a huge need for education and support during the birthing process and herr goal is to inform, support, and empower each client and their family. She lives with her sweet husband and fur babies in New Iberia!
Mayci Doucet is a birth doula pursuing DONA certification. She is also a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Her previous experience in support of pregnant mothers through local case management services is what sparked her love for birth work. She believes that every mother deserves to have the birth that she wants despite issues in diversity and culture.
Tiffany is a regional placenta encapsulation guru and holistic birth doula. She's certified with the Association of Placenta Preparation Arts (APPA), Bloodborne Pathogen Safety, La. Food Handling, Matrona, Spinning Babies and Rebozo. Since 2013, she has helped over 700 families navigate postpartum with placenta services. She is a U.L.L. design graduate and a busy graphic designer. She lives in Lafayette with her husband and two hospital-birthed children. #lafayetteplacenta
Heather is a placenta specialist. After the birth of her second daughter at The Farm Midwifery Center in Tennessee in 2014 and experiencing the benefits of placentophagy, she began work as a placenta specialist. She holds certificates with the APPA, Bloodborne Pathogen, Louisiana Food Handling, & Childbirth International as a birth doula. Heather has a bachelor degree in music education and a masters in music performance. She lives in Lafayette with her husband and two sweet and silly girls.
Tory is a birth doula and certified in Lamaze. After seeing the need for professional birth support options in North Acadiana, she became certified through DONA International as a doula, then had the opportunity to become certified to assist moms with breastfeeding as a lactation counselor. She lives in Opelousas with her husband and three children.
Emily is a doula and a MotherBirth manager. She graduated from UL in Psychology in 2003 and worked in a variety of social service agencies, serving children with behavior disorders. She lives in Carencro with her husband and three children. She has had one hospital birth and two home births and feels as though each of her births were wonderful experiences. Her doula certification was earned through Doulas of North America (DONA) in 2008.
Heather is an OB/Gyn registered nurse, birth and midwife assistant, and a trained doula pursuing certification through DONA International. She is also a breastfeeding advocate working to become a licensed lactation consultant through IBLCE. She lives with her husband and four children. Her goal is to help women feel empowered as they navigate pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.
